I sincerely hope the next several weeks are restful, enjoyable, and of course, full of good music.

As usual, I take a few weeks off around the end of the year to hang with the family, rest up, and of course prepare for the

new year. And in what's quickly becoming a tradition for the show, today we present the final

vinyl guide podcast episode of the year.

Now, you may recall the last show of 2016.

It was episode number 60 featuring Ben Blackwell of third man records.

And then we rounded out 2017 with episode number 105 featuring Don Was of Blue Note Records.

So today in that tradition, I am very pleased to share that we will be enjoying the company of Neil Sugarman of Dapton Records,

who will take us through the history of that marvelous label,

their process for recording and analog and pressing to vinyl records, and then discussing some of the projects with

artists who unfortunately are no longer with us, including Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley,

and Amy Winehouse. Plus, Neil's going to talk about what's up for Daptone in 2019,

and it seems they have lots of great stuff cooking.
