We are talking about rewriting reality with a narcissist, how narcissists tend to create

a narrative surrounding around how they want reality to be and how the unaware empires

in their life get sucked into supporting it. But first, hey, Scotty.

Hey guys, before we get into all this stuff about narcissists and empaths today, I honestly

want to be say that I didn't know what these terms were. I'm thinking if I go back five,

10 years ago and you said, what's an empath? I'd be like, what are you talking about?

It's not even a term that was in my vocabulary. Narcissist wasn't a term that was in my

vocabulary either. What's going on today? These terms are thrown around a lot. I hear

them all the time. I know we have one in the family, but one of each in the family. What's

up with that? I don't quite get it. Yeah, obviously these terms are overused. As I've grown

on this podcast and I've learned more about these things, the thing is when you actually

have one, a diagnosed one in your family, you know the destruction that they caused. You

know what they've done to you. You understand and you're awakening exactly how much hurt

and how much potential they sucked out of you. You recognize that. But throwing around

the term narcissist, obviously that diminishes its destruction. I'm not a professional. I

do not diagnose people. That is not my job. I mean, and I don't think it's a lot of

our jobs, but here's the deal. What I do know about a lot of us listening, a lot of you

listening is you will pass off behavior, whether it's from a narcissist or a jerk, just

a jerk, you will pass off behavior because you feel like you have to be tougher or you

need a thicker skin or I can put up with it because I don't know, they're having a bad

moment in their life or whatever. The thing is you can be supportive and loving and
