This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. My transphobic mom is bating me from driving just because my friend is trans. I won't stand for it. Am I the A-hole? No, I mean, based on what I've heard so far now. Zero percent the A-hole. Transphobia has no place in this podcast. That's right. Talk about it. That's just true. Yeah. Let me provide some context.

I 19 female have been talking about moving in with two of my friends from the last job I worked at for

quite a long time. At the time we made these plans, we were all working at the same place and it was going

great. Up until I got let go for my many times of being away from

my station too long, aka taking bathroom breaks because they won't let us sit down and my back

was killing me and I couldn't take a breather within the side of the managers because I'd get yelled

at. Sounds like retail. Yeah. That's tough. I mean, I only worked at Nike for a little bit. It's my only

retail job. Oh, yeah? But it was pretty fun. So yeah, it's almost as tough as this job. I mean, like, look at this. I mean, this is like, we're basically digging ditches.

Yeah. It's tough. It's tough. Feel bad for us. I never had an issue with that until they started firing people and many quit because of the

work conditions. And so to make up for the sparse staffing, they would give me double shifts,

causing me to get burnout very quickly. So to fill the gap, I've been doing DoorDash just so I'm at

least not a complete loser. Oh, Opie. What do you mean? You're not a loser. I think because

Opie ended up getting fired.

Yeah. Anyway, onto the meat and potatoes of the story. Sometime after telling my mom, 55 female, what the

possible plans were for the move in, I went and asked my friends if they were all right with me telling

my mom the whole scoop because they'd eventually meet face to face anyways if we'd be helping

each other move, get our stuff in, all of that jazz. I would never tell another person who's never met my

friends that they're trans unless they were okay with me doing so. So basically it seems like she's

asking permission to be like, hey, can I tell my mom about you guys? But like specifically to the

trans friend, is it okay if I like, like tell O.P.'s mom, like his friend's trans? Yeah. Like, hey, here's why I'm moving in with. Is that relevant information? I don't know if that's relevant. Like, if I was saying I was moving in with someone who was gay, I would be like, hey, mom, I'm moving with my gay friend. I think it's more important, like, do they have a job? Yeah, yeah. It seems what is

their credit score? Like, I don't care what parts they have. I want to know if they have a 700 or above.

They gave me permission. And so I broke the news to my mom. Now, mind you, my mother is very much Christian and
