I know you missed me. I certainly missed you. And today's solo episode comes from a conversation that I had with

a regional airline pilot that was sitting on my jump seat. And I was talking, they wanted to go to

a major, and they had an interview in a week, and they were going to go in cold and I typed it out as soon

as he said it. He said, if the airlines are hiring like crazy, why should I get help? I'll be okay.

And that detached from reality statement just blew my mind. All of this pertains to how to prepare for an interview,

how to get your application review. The things my team and I do at Spitfire Elite, that's our

bread and butter. Like we help people get to do those things. And to hear somebody,

they don't know that I work for Spitfire or that I have a podcast or all of these things,

I started reaching out. I talked to a couple of the hiring directors at some of the majors and a whole bunch at the regionals.

And I'll tell you this, guys, from what I hear, people are failing interviews at a crazy big rate. There are 10 people coming into

interview, 20 people coming into interview, and five of them get sent home, 15 of them

get sent home, all of them, but two get sent home. And it's happening more and more often because people are not bringing the fire.
