ABOUT TIM RAYNOR

Tim is the chief pilot at American Airlines in Chicago. He grew up in Kansas with a father who was an FBI agent and a mother who was a nurse. Tim fell in love with aviation after his father took him to EAA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. However, his family had no aviation experience, so he thrived in sports and attended the University of Kansas. During a career seminar, Tim talked to a Marine recruiter and was inspired by a poster of a black pilot in an F-4 Phantom. The recruiter challenged him to pass their physical fitness test and study for the FA, and he succeeded.
