Summary

EP1: Renee's goal for this episode is to crush all your “momposter" feelings. “Momposter” syndrome is characterized by feelings of inadequacy with regard to being a Mom. “Momposters” suffer from chronic self-doubt, comparison to others, and they fear judgement. These feelings override any feelings of confidence, success, or real-life proof that they are a badass Mom.

In this episode she talks about five things that contribute to “momposter syndrome”; social media; unsolicited advice; the one study they obsess about on every media outlet; the #blessed moms, and; comparing yourself to other parents and comparing your kids to other kids. She explains how these things eat away at us, how we should deal with them, and why they’re bullsh*t. Buckle up. She is honest and might swear a few times.

Milo doesn't want to go to sleep tonight and he cries and he's giving me a hard time.

1:47.6

That is just what comes with being a mom. Am I right or am I right? Like, oh my God, my mom has plans tonight.

1:54.9

Okay, I'm going to cry. I'm not going to go to sleep. I am just going to ruin any kind of plan that my mom had. I swear they know. They know

what's going on. He probably also knows that I'm trying to record something with a very sensitive
