because we're going to have our discussion but in the interim or in between we have a guest who took me up on an open invitation I made.

I made an open invitation for any national candidates running for federal office to come on the podcast and talk about public lands, talk about access, talk about conservation, funding, all these things.

And the idea of it is I want people to understand maybe a little inside about how things work back there, about how important it is to be involved in policy.

And also the fact that no matter who the candidate is they work for you and you can hold them accountable they might disregard you.

And it's more important to make sure that the candidate understands what is your priority, how important these issues are to you.

And get rid of the R get rid of the D get rid of the whatever I'm so tired of that you guys have heard me go on and on about that but I come from the party of hunting fishing and public access that's the only way I approach it.

I've had way too many instances in my younger days where I thought one side or the other was going to save my my issue.

And I've come to realize that it really comes down to each individual person.

There are people on each side that are equally supportive of our causes and there are people on each side that are what would I say sometimes detrimental to our cause.

I want to give you an idea of how I try to use my platforms to help bring information to our viewers between this podcast our YouTube channel our Amazon channel.

We use that forum to have a lot of serious discussions about this stuff and we try to as hard as it is in today's world we try to talk about public land issues and strip the partisan discussion of it can't say that I always work sometimes we got to moderate it to get it there but anyhow that's how this podcast is going to be we're going to have a national Senate you a Senate candidate in the middle of the podcast they're going to call in on the public land.

Obviously here it is October whatever it is I don't know 17 and they're on the road campaigning so the fact that they could give me a half hour their time is peculiar or I guess beneficial.

And then we're going to sandwich that discussion with a bunch of almost Q&A among me and our production crew because we have some pretty serious discussions about this stuff when around the field when we're traveling down the road and since I'm the old guy who's been in it for 30 years seems like the questions I was going to ask to me so.
