The reason why I think this topic is important to address is because there's an unspoken

pressure that many teachers feel to emulate the most effective teachers in their

schools. Maybe you see that co-worker who lets students hang out in her

classroom after school until six o'clock every night and you feel guilty for not going

way above and beyond to connect with your students. Or maybe you see other

teachers who are super laid back and friendly with the kids and you assume that you need to

lighten up and you're too strict. Or maybe you see teachers who never seem to have

any fun with their students but their kids get really high test scores.

And so you're wondering if you should abandon all those memorable experiences

you're trying to give students and just get down to business more.

My purpose today is to give you the confidence to discover your unique classroom management

It has always been my strong personal belief that there is no one right way to teach, and

there's no one right way to manage a classroom.

That's because there's no one way that's effective for every single student.

Quiet and introverted teachers can do a terrific job running a classroom.
