A nice conversation today with David Bradford.

David has been teaching at Stanford for decades,

and he happens to teach the most popular class in the business school. In particular, Stanford's

Graduate School of Business. It is a class that is affectionately known as the touchy-feely class, what David

calls interpersonal dynamics. This is all about how does one blend the IQ and the EQ, the emotional

quotient so often left out of all of our lives, whether it's in business, a job, relationships,

friends, family. Because if we can't create strong relationships with other people,

other human beings, we're not going to have a great ride. It's not going to be so fun. But there are techniques.

There are ways to go about this that other people have learned people before us. And so in the

spirit of education, in the spirit of learning, let's take advantage of David's wisdom, those decades of teaching at Stanford.

Whether you attended Stanford or not, I did not. But let's take advantage of his decades of expertise

and see if we can all learn a little bit more about how to blend that IQ and that EQ together to get just a little bit more out of

I don't know how to define this, and I'm going to let you define it.

We're going to kind of work our way through, but you teach a class at Stanford that apparently has become, I don't know, legendary or famous, or everyone wants to attend.

Everyone says it's the best. I don't want to put you in a position where you have to brag. But what is this undercurrent where people

keep talking about this class that you are a part of? The formal title is Interpersonal Dynamics.
