Part 1, The Jinks, The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst was a 2015 HBO TV documentary

mini-series about New York real estate air Robert Durst a convicted murderer.

The series investigated the unsolved

1982 disappearance of Robert Durs' wife Kathy, the 2000 execution style

killing a writer Susan Berman and the 2001 death and dismemberment of Robert Dursnamer Morris Black in Galveston, Texas.

Robert was suspected involvement in the first two murders and confessed to the third but claimed self-defense and was

acquitted at trial. Part one detailed Robert Durs connection to the victims

an idea the defendant himself suggested to filmmakers, Andrew Derecki and Mark Smirling

after seeing their work on the film, all good things based on Robert Dur's story.

The jinx helped kick off the true crime boom and played a role in the
