Ryan Easterling to talk a little Linae football recruiting, something we haven't done a little bit in a while. but we got plenty to talk about as one of Illinois's top targets, Nassir Rankin, will be announcing his decision

1:00.4

on Wednesday, Illinois, part of his top five. And they have been one of the top options for him

1:05.7

for a very long time. So we'll talk about that. We got to talk about a new commit in Parker

1:09.6

Krim, three-star defensive line commit. And then we got a lot of decisions and a lot of visits coming up during the next month. So, Ryan, we haven't had you on here in a while. How have you been, bud? Good to be back on. Yeah, I got a little bit of vacation in. I've been busy this spring, but it's good to come back on here. You know, there's a lot, a lot of stuff that's happening in the recruiting world. So no better time than the present, right? Yeah. So let's dive into it. Let's start with Parker Crem, to be honest with you. Because you add another defensive line, and that's two, no doubt, Power 5 defensive line prospects over the last month.

Tony Belongnai and now you had Parker Crim, Bologna out of Palatine, had a bunch of Power 4 offers.

1:54.6

Crem, Illinois was the first Power 4 program to offer.

But he had some official visits set up.

2:02.6

Boston College was in the mix. Iowa State, obviously a very good program was in the mix, but Illinois was able to close down before he even

took any official visit. So what did you think of him as a prospect? And what do you think about

2:12.4

this is a get for Terrence Jameson? Yeah, he's got some pretty interesting tape for a guy that

size. He moves really, really well for his size. He's got a good frame. And I put this in my film piece, but the thing that really stood out to me is just how agile he is, how good of his lateral quicknesses. You know, there's a lot of guys at that size. They're maybe a little bit heavy-footed, but I think he moves really well in space. And you can see that once he gets into the backfield and he's in pursuit, he's able to break it down well. He doesn't overrun the play. And he's, he's able to kind of keep either the quarterback or the ball carrier in front of him and makes a lot of tackles for loss. He was super productive, had over 100 tackles last year. I think it was like 20 plus tackles for loss and over 10 sacks. So great film. It's going to be interesting because he's a little bit of a tweener. But I see him at least as like a 3-4 defensive end, maybe like a defensive lineman, but probably not an inside guy. But he's got a little bit of like kind of the Gabe Accus role to him.
