We're talking about the response to Hurricane Harvey today.

And I wanted to focus in on a couple of small but nevertheless significant

private efforts because of what they indicate for the future.

There are real possibilities here.

And in particular, I want to start with my first guest.

That's right.

I have two guests today.

My first guest is Brent Derritter, who, along with some other folks, is running something called the Liberty Coalition for Disaster Relief. Very, very interesting and smart idea. Less than a week old, this thing, but the potential is very significant. Instead of just sitting around theorizing about how

society might work without compulsion, what if we tried it? How about that? So Brent is going to be

my first guest. Then after Brent, we're going to talk to Grette Glyer, whom we've had on in the past.

But let's turn to Brent right now. Brent, thanks for being here.

Hey, thank you, Mr. Woods. Glad to be here. Now, you are, I'm looking at the notes here.

You're with the Libertarian Party of what state? I'm with the Libertarian Party of North Carolina.

That's what I thought. North Carolina, yeah. Just got elected secretary. Yes, sir. Okay, great. So in other words, you're coming from a distance, or you're, in other words, you're not a native Texan. You're telling us about this as somebody from another state.

Right. Yes, sir. I'm working virtually from North Carolina to coordinate the effort.
