Welcome back to the curious podcast. My name is Josh Pax and I'm your host and your name is

listener and that's what you do. What you listen. I got nothing to say. Pandemic suck. They're

bullshit and listen. Has this, you know, last 10 days taught any of you what it's taught me,

which is that listen, I love my family, but I don't love my long getting. I love my family,

but this is, you know, it's close quarters. It's a lot of a lot of face to face. And, you know,

we're not out on, you know, you can't compare this to the olden times because if this were, we'd be

busy all day doing shit to stay alive like I'm the man. Obviously. So I would be on the prairie or

the on a mountain top doing some stalking hunting. See, yeah, I would gather because what

it goes hand in hand with hunting is gathering. Got a hunting gather. So I would be those things

or what I would do. And that would be my contribution. And my son is 14 months. So he would just

probably be with me holding my arrows and rooting me on as I got the feed for the night. And my wife

would be back at the homestead making butter and turning stuff probably just doing wife stuff,

which is cool and necessary for the house to run right. So it would, uh, yeah. And listen,

it wouldn't be ideal. I'm sure we'd be cold a lot. And all that stalking, my feet would hurt because

there's no way that they had Dr. Shoals or any sort of like good planter fasciitis in sole pads

for the shoes then. So yeah, there'd be a lot of blisters. Couple, yeah, couple, uh,

bruised toes, but inevitably, you know, we put in a good hard days work and we get in the bed.

And we'd go, we'd fall into a very deep sleep. But instead with this pandemic, we just

fucking stare at each other all day, stare in each other's faces. And we contemplate ways in which to

hurt each other. No, I'm kidding. But we, you know, it's just a lot. It's a lot to weird time,

a lot of adjusting. But you know what? You don't listen to this podcast for all that sad shit.
