just a year after an American-backed coup ousted the Socialist president Evo Morales and turned it over to a

far-right-wing faction of the government. They lost won again even when a coup tried to rob the people

of Bolivia of their decision the three-term president Evel Morales who was beloved there because of his reforms and

because of all the policies that he has enacted to bring a more egalitarian

society was seen as a threat, well not just a threat because of his

socialism but also because of the opportunity for capitalists here in the United

States to gain access to the lithium that is available in Bolivia.
