Welcome to Talking Scripture, I'm Mike, and I'm Bryce, and today we're going to be in

Section 30 through 36 of the Doctrine Covenants.

There's a big pattern here, and there's also a lot of little substories.

And so sometimes if you're teaching this, you can kind of get lost in the details and

what's important, and I think one of the things Bryce and I want to do with this podcast

is help you see that there's so many different ways to teach this, depending on the needs

of your family, and even where they are in their lives.

If you look only at Section 30 through 36, you might say there's limited material here,

but they are springboards into some very wonderful conversations, big picture type things

that you can have with students this week.

So they lead to some tremendous discussion.

So Mike and I are going to kind of go off onto a few different tangents, hopefully to

help you see that there's a thread that weaves through them that you can tie together.

And there are only what Bryce just said is we're going to springboard and go down roads.

Literally what's happening in these sections is these people are being called, and they're

all going on different roads.

And so it's a great metaphor for this whole scripture block.
