There's a lot going on with men's basketball.

We will do a podcast with Derek Piper, kind of a buyer's cell, kind of planning for that. We'll talk about the offseason. Some of the stuff going around, the team, retention, transfers, all of that. We will break that down. We will get back into spring football at some point here as well because we have a full practice. We get to watch on Friday night forward to that Joey but it's time to recap the Illinois women's basketball season which was

phenomenal um they get to win their NC first NCAA tournament game in 25 years get to the

NCAA tournament for a second time in three years we'll break that down and we'll look ahead

to a big offseason of change.

A great senior class goes out the door. But Joey, you were just with him in Austin, Texas,

and got to see them win that first NCAA tournament game. Of course, fall to number one seat,

Texas, who's really, really good. What was that like, man, to witness that and to see the program

take another step up.

Yeah, that was pretty cool because you knew how much that one game meant to this program,

meant for, I guess, kind of the last big rung for that senior class to climb before they

pass it off as the program keeps pushing forward.

And I got the sense going into it against Creighton that Illinois liked the matchup.

Like I think they knew that Kendall Bostick could have a day.

Obviously, I thought Adalia McKinsey played really well.

Genesis Bryant closed out the game.

But for as much as you like a matchup, there's still the, man, just get this one vibe that I got.

But just kind of talking around and they knew.

Like they knew that was the step they had to take.

They knew that was a big moment for that senior class and to stay around, Austin,
