And today's episode is with Ian Dakey Royce.

And Ian had this great idea of starting a company called Cindy, which is an outdoor gear rental

company that is almost like an Airbnb, you know, what you do for your house, but for your gear.

You can also buy and sell gear on there, but it's a way to like rent out your gear for

adventures, whether it be your mountain bike or your surfboard or anything

like that that people may be traveling somewhere and want to borrow the gear or want to

try out a new sport because I don't know about you. We talk a lot about some really cool adventure

sports on this show. But getting into any new sport is really can be very expensive.

There's very few hobbies that are cheap. And so before anyone is really sure, it's great to use

this here. So I love the concept of what Cindy is doing, and that's S-E-N-D-Y. Cindy.I-O, you can check

But the reason we're featuring Ian today is not because he started this company.

It's a great idea.

It's really the circumstances in which he started the company, which was having his entire team based in Ukraine, right as the Ukraine and Russian war broke out when Russia

invaded Ukraine. So he has a team nearly on the front lines doing this stuff, you know,

not missing any deadlines as we'll hear. And to go in support and to go and to be a part of this,

Ian went to Ukraine himself during the conflict to be with his team,

to encourage them to make sure Cindy could launch on time.

He's providing jobs for folks in Ukraine as other industries obviously are completely eradicated or totally affected
