No, we're not forgetting that we're recording this on the fifth anniversary of the violent Republican insurrection against the government of the United States on January 6th, 2021.

Because everything that is happening now exists in the shadow of that traumatizing act of treason by Trump supporters and the subsequent capitulation by

virtually the entire Republican Party to the traitor who instigated that failed coup,

a capitulation so cowardly and so complete that it can cost you your job in the federal government to suggest that the 2020

election was not stolen and that January 6th was a crime against American democracy.
