once again with his own attorney general. And again, this comes from the fact that Trump

simply does not understand the value of tact. He does not understand what it means to just be

quiet every so often. And this has led to an open conflict between Trump, who continues to sound

off like a talk radio caller on virtually everything that he sees around him, as though he's

an observer of the political scene and not, you know, the most powerful person on the face of the earth yesterday. The Washington Post reported that during President Trump's Senate impeachment trial, Democrats repeatedly asserted he is not above the law. Since his acquittal two weeks ago, the president has taken a series of steps aimed at showing essentially that he is the law. Now, that, of course, is not seriously true. The president has every authority to take people who he believes were militating against him in the White House and move them out of the White House. The executive branch is a unitary branch of government. That means the president is in charge of that branch and he has hiring and firing power inside that branch, except for the specified offices that have to be approved by the Senate of the United States. It is also true that the president, he carries along with it, the pardon power and the

commutation power, which we're going to get to in just one second. I, for one, have long

suggested Republican or Democrat that pardon and commutation power is stupid and should not

be given to the president of the United States, that the reason it was originally granted
