That's after we talked about a very bad week the week prior.

But this one was much better. Illinois beats Iowa by 20 points and then goes on the road and

beats number 15 Michigan by 20 points. We got dive really deep into that victory. Kyle and

Basel, Trey White, really coming on late in the season. The defense has some bite. What does Mike

like about this team right now? What's he think about the matchup against Purdue in the season. The defense has some bite. What does Mike like about this team right now?

And what's he think about this team's capabilities once it gets in the postseason if it's able to

string some of these games together? Before we get to Mike, I want to break down two pieces of news.

Big pieces of news on this Tuesday for Illinois football.

The first, again, another big commitment in state.

Casey Toman out of Olney, plays for Richland County, small school, but big time prospect.

Casey, a top 20 prospect in the state of Illinois.

According to the composite rankings, the number 12 prospect, according to the 24-7 sports rankings, he's the number 19 prospect.

Regardless, he is a rare offensive tackle prospect because he's 6-7, over 300 pounds,

but he doesn't look like he's 300 pounds because he moves extremely well.

But boy, he's a big time high ceiling prospect.

Chose Illinois over several other powerful offers, including Big Ten rivals, Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern.

The other schools I've gotten in here were West Virginia, Virginia, Iowa State was very involved as well. So another very good

in-state win for Illinois. And again, like what is great about Casey Toman? He's been playing

football for three years. So he started his freshman year. Comes from a basketball family,

is really focused on basketball until high school, but he's really improved a lot the
