Hey, everybody, Tom Woods here. I am going to lose some listeners as a result of this episode.

There's no doubt about it. No doubt about it. I'm going to lose some Catholic listeners who are going to be too sensitive or they're not going to understand the limits of papal authority or I don't know what.

Or they're extremely delicate, but I'm going to lose some.

And it's a shame. I'm not trying to lose them. I'm not just provocative for its own sake.

But sometimes things have to be said, and you have to just let the chips fall where they may.

And the things we're going to say today are among those things.

I am speaking today to George Neummire, who is a contributing editor at

the American Spectator. He's formerly editor of Catholic World Report, and he is the author of a

brand new book called The Political Pope, How Pope Francis is Delighting the Liberal Left and Abandoning

Conservatives. Of course, Francis has been rather a bewildering figure for many observers,

and Neumeyer has written a systematic account of his pontificate thus far. And it's interesting and

important, which is why, of course, in certain parts of the Catholic world, let's say, it is not being given the attention it deserves. In
