That's my passion. Now this is a first for this show. I never expected to be going down this particular path.

But my topic today is probably one that everybody out there is going to have an interest in.

My guest, Bruce Grayson, is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia. UVA, as it's commonly known about 90 minutes away from where I grew up, one of the

public ivies. So Bruce definitely brings his credentials, his scientific chops, and an association

with a quite well-known, well-respected

academic institution.

Where are we going today?

Near-death experiences.

But what can we learn about near-death experiences right now?

I mean, we know very little.

We know very little about the conscious and

unconscious mind. And I think what's so cool about Bruce is he really did not have any kind of

religious belief system. He strictly started to look at these near death experiences,

all of this data that he was gathering,

and said, what is going on here? Now, we surely don't know what is going on, but you will see

with Bruce, a man who has dedicated his life to studying near-death experiences, there might be

something here that causes us all to pause.

Now, for me, my pause might just be, damn it, we're all living in a simulation.

But who the hell knows?
