Summary

The hunter in pursuit of whitetail east of the Mississippi requires a different arsenal of optics than the elk or mule deer hunter in the American West. Likewise, both those two have different needs than the Alaskan caribou or moose hunter, and the Southwestern elk or coues deer hunter. Jimmy and Mark are joined by Paul Neess and Ryan Muckenhirn, each given a region of the country to speak to in terms of optic recommendations for the bulk of their hunts, to explain what our top recommendations are and why. Performance, budget, weight and convenience considerations are all taken into account and this conversation gives you the fully in-depth look into the mind of one of our optics experts when they make a recommendation for what is often someone else’s hunt of a lifetime. bow hunting I feel like I almost want to call this one why don't we ever talk about

0:37.3

optics even though we do quite a bit but we're gonna pretty much dedicate this one

0:41.6

to optic choices. A topic that we haven't really hit on it. It's kind of

0:46.9

come up soft, soft intros or whatever, but this one straight up, four hunting scenarios, what optics we recommend for

0:57.1

various different situations.

0:58.4

Now naturally, just as with many things, it'll depend on a great deal of things so we've tried to kind of

1:04.8

check all the boxes with with a number of different types of hunts and then each one

1:09.7

of us has the respective optics that we would use in front of us that will go over with all of you.

1:14.4

I feel like I've done a pretty good job of ensuring this.

1:16.8

Now, granted, the reason Mark, so I hesitate is because we were sort of picking fun of him.

1:21.5

In front of Mark are about, yeah.

1:25.0

1:26.4

12 optics.

1:27.5

And MC Ryan couldn't find four of the ones

1:30.2

from his left earlier, so he would have had 16 but let me explain myself okay go for it

1:37.7

Mark so Jim like what you have in front of you is like, you have three optics, and all very high quality but

1:46.8

somewhat modestly priced, right? Yes. So what I have here I feel like I was trying to include two elements.

1:57.5

We've got the high end and then the super high quality modest price brackets because the high end stuff is not always
