We begin tonight with the growing concern across this country after that massive cyber attack.

Instead of seeing what's new in your inbox, a series of messages pop up telling you that your files have been encrypted and you won't be able to access them again unless you pay ransom.

Experts say that these attacks are becoming more frequent and more lucrative for criminals

with companies losing hundreds of billions of dollars from these attacks in just the past few years.

We have new information this morning on two more cyber attacks targeting New York City's subway system

and a ferry service for summer resorts in Massachusetts.

We are learning right now that Uber is suffering a computer

system hack. Federal officials can only do so much when private companies are targeted.

The bad guys aren't going through the front door. They're going through the back door and

getting in that way to deploy the malicious code.

Well, I texted you this yesterday.

I went to see a play last night.

And we covered trigger warnings recently.

And this was quite a trigger warning in the lobby of this

playhouse. This is a play called The Doctor, and this is what it said outside. It said this production

features themes of abortion, racism, sexism, bullying in the workplace, bereavement, dementia,

anti-Semitism, and suicide. Please speak to a member of staff for resources on support.

I think that might be one of the most aggressive trigger warnings I've ever seen.
