0:44.7	in the American conservative magazine linked on the show notes page about the Democrats and the
0:50.8	Republicans and why the Democrats are more unified. And I know a lot of people listening to the show feel like, ah, Democrats, Republicans, big deal.
0:58.7	But it's important analysis because the fact is we live under these people. We live under the Democrats and the Republicans.
1:05.1	And it's useful to understand what's going on with them, especially because I think a lot of people have the wrong idea.
1:10.3	A lot of people, particularly Republicans, think the Democrats are really on the ropes, and they've
1:15.8	got all these internal divisions. And I don't think that's true at all. And I think Paul has really
1:19.7	hit on something here. And what he's hit on could be very important for our future. And that's
1:25.3	why I want to talk about it. Paul is a professor emeritus of
1:29.0	humanities at Elizabethtown College. He holds a PhD in history from Yale University. He is the
1:36.2	author of many books. On the show, we've talked about fascism, the career of a concept. We've talked
