Rods, reels, line, bait, bobbers, jigs, hooks, sinkers, spinners, spoons, worms, braid, monofilament… Holy smokes! These fishin’ folks seem to be speaking in a completely different language! If you have next-to-no fishing experience like Jimmy in this podcast or have maybe done some in the past but lost touch with the hobby and want to get back into it, this is a great podcast to start with. The topic of “Fishing 101” isn’t easy because the equipment and tactics for each type of fish, water and location will vary. That said, for the beginner just looking to get some casts in and catch something, our guests Ben Schneider (30 years fishing experience) and Larry Wipperfurth (52 years of fishing experience) from the office as well as Mark (nearly 37 years fishing experience) break it down for a noob like Jimmy with a great do-most-things, reasonably priced, easy-to-understand rod, reel, line, bait and bobber setup. They also bring up some great tips for where to go, how to fish and what to expect. We plan to do plenty more fishing podcasts after this one that are more in-depth and advanced, but wanted to bring everyone up to speed before taking the plunge so stay tuned! 0:41.2	Now, we've had kind of our 101 podcast on a number of different things. We just recently not too long ago discussed waterfowl. We've done a lot of hunting shooting related things and just figured fishing is just right in there and we actually shot out a little email across the company
0:56.4	said hey we got any folks around here that like to discuss the topic of fishing and
1:00.9	it was overwhelming how many people responded with the fact that they
1:05.2	that they've been fishing forever you know we've heard a lot of that fishing for
1:09.3	all different kinds of things which I think we're going to get into here a little bit
1:12.4	for people that are new into fishing.
1:14.2	There's like a gazillion different kinds of things under the water.
1:17.5	But anyway, chances are we're probably going to have to talk to more people about more topics
1:22.0	on fishing, but these guys seemed excellent to discuss this
1:26.4	kind of 101 level if you will so once you guys kick it off we'll go in

1:39.0	department take care of scopes do some inspecting right away and then also do some repairs to make sure that when they go out there they're ready to go.
