And that's a pretty apt description of Illinois.

Losing yet again to Maryland, it is Brad Underwood's kryptonite, the Terps, 91 to 70.

That's one of the worst losses we have seen at State Farm Center.

I think it's one of the worst losses in State Farm history for Illinois. Not a lot of 20-point losses

at home for the Illini. But certainly one of the worst in the Brad Underwood era. And Derek Piper,

our research extraordinaire, went back last 20 point loss at home,

2018 early in the Brad Underwood era to Penn State.

Another kryptonite for Brad Underwood while he's been here at Illinois.

It's ugly.

Derek, Illinois loses back-to-back games for the first time since the end of the 22, 23 season.

They fall to three and eight against Maryland in the Brad Underwood era.

And they've not lost three of four.

But obviously the big news tonight was Tomasov Vich was not available.

Another star for Illinois, not available for a game.

And boy, if there was one game that you didn't want to have your center.

This one certainly was not that.

With Julian Reese, 27 points and 17 rebounds, Derek Queen, 25 points,

six rebounds, four assists, looked like a lottery pick there.

But Derek, this was ugly.
