Everest, skied 20 volcanoes in the Cascade mountain range, and has earned his PHD in Environmental Geology, among many other accomplishments. But the adventure he is here to talk about today is his successful attempt at summiting every one of Colorado's 14,000 ft peaks AND sleeping on top of each of them in the process. because it's something that a lot of y'all might be familiar with,

but in a whole new way, a lot of us have heard of the 14ers,

the mountains in Colorado or out west, really, that are over 14,000 feet.

Colorado doesn't have a monopoly on 14ers.

There's plenty in California, Washington, all over the west, but Colorado has the highest concentration with 58 or 54 depending on how

you define it most people except 58 but today we're talking to John Kedrowski who has been on the

summit of Mount Everest has skied 20 volcanoes has a PhD in environmental geology so he is referred to as Dr. John, among tons of other accomplishments, by the way.

And the adventure we're talking about today that we're throwing back to when Travis was a host is the successful attempt of summiting every one of Colorado's 14ers and sleeping on the top of them.

If you've been on a 14er, you know that even on a bright, beautiful, warm, sunny day,

it can be freezing cold during the day, especially in the morning or especially start, you know, towards sunset.

It can dip below freezing.

I mean, I think like pretty much every night of the year it's below freezing on the summit of a 14er.

And so we're going to learn about how that.

And not only that, I mean, imagine you're at the top, the highest point around.

You're also incredibly exposed to weather.
