something Bernie Sanders said not long ago. I guess I thought I wouldn't

be saying those words anymore, but there he is, still talking, and here I am still talking.

And in particular, he, if you're on my email list, you knew this episode was coming. I was

griping about it the other day. He was making the observation that it's rather expensive to live

in a lot of American cities these days, or it's difficult for people who earn the minimum wage

to get by in the economy. And therefore, he draws the conclusion that we ought to pay them more.

We ought to increase the minimum wage.

That solves the problem.

So I thought I would talk about this a bit.

This got raised in my private Facebook group, which you can access via supporting listeners.com if you're interested in somebody posted this.

And a big discussion ensued with a lot of comments,

intelligent comments, in response to Bernie's view. So I thought I would review a couple of

those and then give my own thoughts about the matter. In particular, he's talking about housing

and how hard it is to find housing that's
