This week we're going to take a look into gay marriage again.

I think homosexuality is one of the most important issues of our time.

It might be the most important issue actually because it is the thing that causes so many people to take offense to God, to the Bible, to Christianity

in general.

There's so much offense over this issue. And I want to say upfront, you know, as my position

has always been as Christians that most of us don't really know exactly why the Bible condemns homosexuality.

Okay? And that's because we haven't seen homosexuality prevalent in a culture for thousands of years, right?

It's basically been eradicated from Western culture at least since the Roman Empire.

And we haven't seen firsthand the fruit of this particular sin.

So for most Christians, our position is that, hey, we're going to trust the Bible, right?

That's really where our heart is in this. We're just trying to

trust what we feel like the Lord has fairly clearly commanded in scripture and

and then you know and then we might start to make guesses about why.

And I think that's where we're at.

I think we're not gonna know for sure

for maybe some more years, maybe a decade or two, because we have to see what the fruit of the sin is, right?

And already, I think, you know, we can see some of that fruit, but my position is that we're kind of in an ongoing

discussion and discovery about this issue. Okay? So I hope that's clear up front because that's why this is hard. For so

many Christians, for so many pastors, so many churches, you know there's not a
