Hi everyone, Las La Montgomery again with another China History Podcast.

Sorry for the long delay since the Shangu episode.

I had to do a Ning Bo run last week

and with everything that piled up on top of that,

I just couldn't get it together fast enough.

Another cause for the delay was simply that today's topic turned

out to be much bigger than I expected. A bit off more than I could chew here. I

thought I was going to be able to encapsulate into 30 to 40 minutes, all seven voyages of Junhe, both of Gavin Menzie's two books and some

interesting commentary from a Ming Dynasty scholar or two.

So this one might go two or three episodes, we'll see.

I'm only going as far as the first voyage today.

For this week's topic, we go back to the CHP 32 Ming Dynasty Part 2 episode and zero in on the seven voyages

of Junhe that took place between 1405 and 1433.
