Just one game left in the basketball season upon us. But it is Jeremy Warner. It is Joey Wagner. Welcome in, everybody. We got a lot to talk about on this one. Illinois is going bowling and they're going portaling. And Illinois accepts the bid to the citrus bowl. They will play South Carolina.

We'll talk about that matchup. We'll try to get on a South Carolina expert a little bit on later

on because I know people want to know about opt-outs and all that stuff and that still is

accruing even at Illinois. So we'll give that some time before we preview that matchup. But the

transfer portal also opened up today on December 9th Monday. We'll talk about

the entries so far, six for Illinois. We would expect more. We'll break those down, but then we'll

get into Illinois and what they will add in the portal, and we have a fun exercise to kind of break

halfway basketball season right now, or maybe some people, obviously, all the way in on Illinois

basketball. But crossover season's over, and now it's like, I guess maybe not over entirely

because you still have roster building crossover season. Never stops, Jeremy. It's fun.

No, it never does stop. And Illinois accepts a bit of the Citrus Bowl. That is not surprising. We have talked on this podcast for the past three, four weeks. Like, this is a real possibility, and it looks like it's all lining up, especially after Illinois beat both Michigan State and Ruckers. So they get the Citrus Bowl. but the opponent, a little bit of a surprise, given that Bama slipped out of the college football playoff. I have some thoughts about that, but I don't think Bama has a great argument of being like, yes, they definitely deserved it. I just didn't think SMU had a great resume as it was. But SMU gets in.
