Summary
You may recognize Chris from episode 618, talking about being a full-time adventure guide. He’s back to chat about an epic 72-day sea kayak expedition of the Inside Passage, the 1,200-mile paddle trail from Seattle to Skagway, Alaska.
Chris said it was a logistical nightmare in terms of organization, especially due to covid disruptions. However, it paid off with truly wild animal encounters, humpbacks surfacing feet from their kayaks, being 'bumped' by killer whales, and camping in grizzly bear country.
On top of that, Chris has changed roles from guide to expedition business owner. Not long after coming home from this adventure, he turned around to guide groups to summited Kilimanjaro twice!
