to call podcast. I'm Paige Wesley and with me is my co-host Marie Bella thanks for joining us today so today we've got an

interesting cult it's one that's been in the news and I guess traditionally

wouldn't really fit our definition of a cult, but given the news,

coverage that's gotten recently, and the details of the case once we got into it,

we thought it was worth covering anyway. So today we're talking about R Kelly. Oh God. Yes. And I will, I'll be up front. I was an R Kelly fan like hardcore. I mean you were as of like a week ago so this

must be pretty intense. Exactly that's kind of the problem and I didn't listen to him for the traditional reasons. Like I was one of those people that was an ironic R Kelly fan.

Yeah. Where you're like, he's insane. This is great. Oh God, his songs are. I've got some lyrics. Okay good, good, good.

It's a lot. So we're using a couple different sources. We'll talk about them as we go through.

Anytime there's cases like this where there's actually court cases and stuff involved,

we try to find stuff that's as documented as possible. So we're using his discography and

lyrics so his own songs and we're using one of Aalias albums.
