It is Jeremy Warner and Derek Piper live in State Farm Center where the cleanup crew is going around.

So if you hear some background noise. That's the great people cleaning up

this place. After Illinois defeats Oakland 66 to 54, a little bit closer than we expected.

But I did see Derek, our buddy Alex Rue, over at BTN, tweeted out. It was basically the same

score as last year as Illinois defeated Oakland 64 to 53. That Oakland team was a little bit better,

though. There's no Jack Golky here tonight, no Trey Townsend who had a really good game

against Illinois as Terran Shannon basically shut down Golky in that one. But a little closer

than we expected against an Oakland team that lost four of its top scores from the team that

beat Kentucky in the NCAA tournament. And that zone just has a way of screwing with people. And it

certainly screwed up with Kasparasakoshonis, five turnovers, Trey White, four turnovers, Illinois

in total 18 turnovers. So it was gritty. Derek, I played some defense, but it wasn't pretty.

It definitely wasn't. Obviously, if you got to get out some of those off shooting nights or

struggles, you'd rather have it happen tonight the next week against Alabama, where you're going

to need to be operating a tip-top form. But yeah, and that's what Oakland's defense is meant to do.
