the three-star quarterback out of Florida,

and he's a four-star on rivals,

but he's a top 45 prospect and whatever ranking you kind of look at here,

and he had 30 scholarship offers, about two dozen power four offers. And this is the guy that Illinois wanted to start this class.

They really probably could have pushed for some other targets, maybe some guys with a few power four offers.
