I'm David Chen, joining me as usual as Patrick. Patrick, and the time since we last recorded,

I have finished the entire Netflix original series, The Beast in Me.

The Beast in Me. You heard about the show? I have not. The Beast in Me is a smash hit on Netflix.

It stars Claire Daines as an author.

And Matthew Reese as a Robert Durst-like figure.

Like him.

Yeah.

And I will say that I think you will think this show is trash in the same vein as presumed in the same vein as presumed innocent.

I was going to say, first, you know, what's that mean?

Like, the guys in the first half, not going to lie.

Like, when you say, like, I'm going to think it's trash.

I'm like, oh, well, then why are you saying this? Like presumed innocent? Like, all right. Sign me up. I'm a little raccoon ready to go fishing around. It is an incredibly addictive show. It is really, really well made. Addictive or propulsive? Both. I mean, it's a thing we're... But that was part of our conversation of presumed innocent is the overlap of these ideas. It's like, okay, and it's a mini series. I think there's eight episodes. And so you know that they are going to have told a complete story by the end of the eighth episode. And you can shotgun it, right right? Like, I feel like that is, oh yeah. I think part of what made presumed innocent more impressive was that

it was week to week, right? Like, as opposed to it. Like, I think a show has to do more to, like,

hold you that way, whereas there's a lower bar. I'm not saying this show has a little,

but I'm saying just conceptually, if you can watch everything, it, you know, it all kind of

meshes together in a, in a different way. Yeah. So it's beautifully shot, really well acted. It has,

in my opinion, an amazing title sequence.

It's one of those shows where every title sequence is slightly different for every episode.

And I think that's really cool.
