So with all that said let's get to our guest you remember her from a couple seasons of the show that she was on and a girl that has an interesting past and one of the guys that she had an interesting past with was a former guest on the podcast so you can compare their stories.

Anyway let's get to it podcast number 89. All right let's get to our guest you first saw her on season 19 of the bachelor with Chris souls then she appeared on the second season of bachelor in paradise later on that summer.

It is Samantha Stefan Samantha how are you. I'm good how are you. I'm good two reasons why really interested in talking to you number one is when I first approached you to do this.

I it never really dawned on me and it and I as as doing research for the interview I didn't realize you were the first girl from Chris season that I have had on this podcast so

congratulations. That's really crazy I'm surprised. Yeah and you know and I was looking over the names and I'm like well four of them have podcasts already.

With Carly has one and Jade has one and Ashley I has one and it's just like okay I it's just a weird dynamic and there were other people from your season that we'll get into and that because you had some interesting characters and I just didn't realize that wow I never spoken to anybody from your season.

It's crazy the second thing for them for all doing something I know I mean I guess I didn't know about that the other thing was a couple weeks ago I had on a girl from REC season Mariek Matthias and when I was looking over her stuff she was the you know when I

showed her and I you know I said she was the first contestant that I could remember I said I might be off by maybe I'm forgetting somebody but the first contestant of Indian or Pakistani descent and I got a few emails after I did that interview and they said Steve you're forgetting about Samantha she's half in the I'm like oh I don't

know if I ever knew that so can you explain your your background on that what what is your heritage yeah I don't think anyone knows that I don't really look it but my mom is from India originally and she came over here when she was nine but she looks more like Italian or Persian so that's probably why I don't look Indian and my dad is just all American English German blonde hair blue I totally opposite of my mom okay.

Let's get into how this all started for you you know season nineteen this was gosh five years ago that you were on Chris's season when you guys filmed would have been September of I don't know oh September of 13 September of 14 when you record when you film this how initially did you get caught up in this how did you get cast were you a fan of this show how did it all happen for you.

I love the show my family loved it to so we watched some seasons growing up but gosh I did not realize I was on it that long ago.

It's a really long time.

I had a serious boyfriend for about a year and a half that I thought I was going to marry and I was really sick that whole year and actually almost died from.
