Summary
Running: Liz Runs 30 Marathons in 30 Countries by Age 30 – Post-Father Loss Therapy, Tokyo Start, Paris Commitment, $100K Charity Fundraising.
Originally aired - May 18, 2020
After running her first marathon in Tokyo after the loss of her father, Liz grew a deep love of running as a form of therapy and exercise. She had a self-proclaimed “addiction” for the high of crossing the finish line after over 26 miles of running, especially in places that were far from her hometown of Atlanta.
As she approached her 30th birthday while living in Paris, she decided to join her passion for travel and marathons into an adventure of a lifetime! She committed to run 30 marathons in 30 different countries by the time she turns 30 in June of 2020.
Each marathon focused on a different charity and she’s currently raising $100,000 to donate to various causes. You find out more about her marathons and fundraising here.

| 0:40.0 | You know, we talk a lot about adventure being kind of the framework for getting used to |
| 0:46.2 | go do something. |
| 0:47.0 | You know, a lot of times we won't just go travel somewhere. |
| 0:49.2 | We have to go because of a race or because of an event or some sort of challenge we set |
| 0:53.9 | ourselves up to, |
| 0:55.0 | which is important to have that framework. And everything that fills in that framework is adventure. |
| 1:01.9 | The stories, the memories, the unexpected things that happen because we set out to go run a |
| 1:08.8 | marathon in another country. If you go out to have the stories, you might not have them. |
| 1:13.6 | You've got to have some sort of goal that all those stories can kind of attach to and hang on to. |
| 1:19.1 | And a lot of times it's one of those goals that gets you out there in the first place. |
| 1:23.2 | So I'm a huge fan of these kinds of concepts and these kind of challenges where you set this crazy goal. |
| 1:31.5 | And the stories and the things you walk away from, from an experience like what Liz is accomplished is it's not what you expect when you go into it. |
| 1:40.4 | So that's what's so beautiful is a lot of the stories you're going to hear and a lot of the stories she will take away from this experience are obviously nothing she could actually prepare |
| 1:48.4 | for. You don't know what's going to happen when you get out there, but she has done a really |
| 1:53.3 | cool adventure and we're going to revisit this a couple years later. So enjoy. |
| 2:11.9 | Folks, welcome to the show. Today's episode, we have a pretty, pretty exciting guest. |
| 2:15.1 | Liz Warner, thanks for coming on. |
| 2:17.2 | We're happy to have you on the show. |
| 2:19.2 | Yeah, thank you so much for having me on. |

| 2:21.9 | And, you know, folks heard, you know, a little bit about you in the intro, but could you |
