I know, have you heard of it? I had a realization during the recording of this interview

about how right now is actually the most ideal time for getting sober and I've always been told and hey I've said it myself there is no perfect time to quit drinking. You know something is always on the horizon, a certain event, an upcoming life change, a particular stress that's current in your life, it's just never quite right.

But with most of the country, staying at home right now, working from home, not going to school,

not going out to restaurants and bars,

this is actually a really perfect time to quit drinking.

When I think about my first three months, alcohol-free,

I remember a lot of staying at home,

watching Beverly Hills 902-1-0 reruns,

and eating a lot.

I took a lot of naps.

I went to bed early.

I slept in late. I checked my Facebook accountability groups

non-stop and I connected with other sober people online a lot of the time to

ask questions and get advice about this super wonderful and super weird process.

I read a lot of books, listen to a lot of podcasts, and again I want to reiterate, I stayed

at home a lot.
