Many previous years on the Monday night that's close to Christmas and New Year's I'll do teachings that are holiday stories and beautiful stories of people

caring for one another in this time.

Tonight, because I, the last couple of months on Mondays,

I've been telling some very long stories a few of you might have been here the long story the Arthurian

legend about what women want if you don't know that story you can listen to it.

And then a long story last time,

the myth of the Buddha's last teachings.

I decided to continue in the vein of telling big stories and we'll try to do it tonight and see if it fits with where we are. So tonight I want to tell the story of

Bodicepah named Vimla Kirti and Bodhi is the Sanskrit word for a being who's committed to the service and care of all. Bodi means awakened and Sataa means being

somebody who's fostering well-being and

fostering well-being and awakening for beings everywhere.

And I kind of want to tell it because it's just about winter solstice

in a couple of nights, two or three nights,

and all around the world and culture, certainly in the northern hemisphere for Wist...

There are festivals of light.

There's Hanukkah and there's Christmas and there's Kwanza and there's all kinds of other festivals.
