The ACC is following in the Pac-12's footsteps and scrapping divisions after announcing the

new scheduling format from 2023 to 2026.

Each team has three permanent rivals and will rotate with the other 10 teams being able

to play each team home and away over a normal length of a career.

This is the way that it should be and when looking at the permanent rivals, nobody really

got screwed over in the ACC because the league isn't deep enough to really bury somebody

via schedule.

It's basically been a one team league with Clemson, but I will admit that other schools

are starting to level up, wake Forest, NC State, Miami, a couple others, and this decision

made the most sense, which is why it continues to shock me that we see people make it.

My question now is why is the SEC leading from the back on this?

I know that Texas and Oklahoma aren't in the conference yet, but they will be soon, so

let's go ahead and approve a format to take place from the future.

When the SEC does make this move, they need to follow exactly the format that the ACC

did.

The whole point of scheduling is to try and be as even as possible.

That doesn't mean that every team has the strength of schedule, only that everybody plays

everybody consistently.
