Joey, they let the fans go home a little early. But a balanced Illinois offense, 242 passing yards led by Altmeyer, Luke Altmeier, and his four touchdown pass is

two of those to Pat Bryant. Joey feeling good about his few of his bold predictions. We'll get

to that here in a little bit. But Caden Fagan, his first 100-yard game, 108 yards,

along with Aden Loffrey, it had 79 yards. Fagan running for a touchdown as well. But then

defensively, we get a shutout against Eastern Illinois. I think we're hoping the defense would play

pretty well today, but they did a shutout and four takeaways. Joy, I just think that's how

you want to treat an FCS opponent

when you're a Big Ten team. But what are you most encouraged by coming out of this game?

Because obviously a huge game coming up with Kansas, but let's focus on this one. What were you

most encouraged by? The passing game. We talked all offseason about how it was due to take another step with Luke Altmyer

and the whole deal with him this offseason is a guy who's been more comfortable, right?

A guy who's just confident in his approach, comfortable in his approach, but he needed to see it.

And I know it was an FCS opponent.

I know it was Eastern Illinois.
