owed him $5.9 million. I think that's all it was. So he's like hey this is

what you're going to do man I'm going to retire soon I think this started in in

2001 it's now what 20 24 so 23 years the Mets have continued to pay

Bobby Benia they pay them almost two million dollars a year every July 1st. So today is

officially Bobby Benia day. Can you imagine?

I wanna say another eight years. He's going to be 72 years old when the Mets
