All right, you hear that? That is the sound of baseball's hot stove. A blizzard of inactivity.

Most of the top free agents and trade candidates remain frozen in this polar vortex, leaving the baseball offseason at a standstill.

But the White Sox did make a trade last week. Not as big as some we're thinking or hoping as the news trickled out,

but a sleuth move by Rick Hahn to help the bullpen did occur. We'll get to that. But the main

topic on the podcast today is a White Sox trade that would immediately make this hot stove season

feel like Miami Beach. Chuck Ard Fine here with Chris Kampka.

We're going to be joined by Phil Rogers, baseball columnist from MLB.com,

who is doing whatever he can to heat things up with his story

that the White Sox should trade for Christian Yellich.

And Chris, you've been pushing this idea for a while.
