So unfortunate news to hear the professional basketball player, Kobe Bryant,

pass away in an accident.

I'm not going to attempt to do an obituary here.

That is for other people to do, and they are doing it really well, and I have read many of them.

I want to take something that Kobe Bryant

did and contrast it with my world, my trend following world. Now, I should say, going back in time,

as a Boston Celtics fan, I never liked Kobe Bryant.

I'm sure that's a little irrational.

But in the heat of the moment, Lakers Celtics, you are one side of the other and you did not like the other guys.

Especially Kobe and Shaq playing the Celtics with Pierce and Garnett.

I just hated the fact that that guy would make

something happen every damn time they needed it. He was so clutch. But what I was perhaps

not paying attention to as much were the misses. He missed a lot. He missed a lot of

shots, a ton of shots. In fact, he missed more shots than any player ever by a large number.

Now he played a long time, I think 19, 20 years,

but still, to be known as the guy that missed the most shots,

that's an interesting story.

There's something to uncover there.
