Hey, folks, welcome to the adventure sports podcast. My name is Mason, where we talk about stories about adventure

0:19.3

about adventure here on this show and why it's important.

0:23.0

Today's episode is really interesting because it's going to be why it's important to stay

0:25.7

ready for adventures with Becky from trailblazer wellness.com.

0:32.0

And so what's interesting, I met Becky back in October at the Outdoor Media Summit.

0:39.2

We instantly were like,

0:44.3

hey, let's do a podcast. It sounds like a really interesting topic. And long time coming, but we recorded the episode months ago. And I typically schedule out like six to eight weeks in

0:51.5

advance. After I record, the episode will come out well I was up like

0:54.6

three months out and so by the time I actually went to edit the episode I realized her audio or our

1:01.4

audio was no good which doesn't happen very often it's very rare um and so I didn't think to check it

1:08.4

beforehand so I was like shoot Becky we you know the audio is good. We had to re-record an episode. So this is, you know, the second take. stay ready for adventure, which is what we're going to talk about with Becky, because you never

1:33.4

know when those opportunities are going to come. No one knew the pandemic was coming a year in advance.

1:39.3

But if you were relatively fit or relatively healthy, chances are you went some sort of through some

1:46.4

sort of disruption in life, whether that's being laid off or something more positive,

1:51.4

like working from home or moving across the country or moving around like I know tons of us

1:57.1

did. Those kinds of transitions allow usually some time to go do something.

2:04.2

Not always, but sometimes.

2:06.2

And if you're, you know, a relatively healthy mindset and healthy position in life

2:11.6

and you're conscious about when those opportunities arise, you can really take advantage

2:16.3

of them and do some really awesome adventures and not have to wait until you arise, you can really take advantage of them and do some

2:17.5

really awesome adventures and not have to wait till you're, you know, 65 and retired or, you know,
