Richards comes back to the show after a long absence, and I'm very glad to be talking to Jay about his book,

Money, Greed, and God, why capitalism is the solution and not the problem. He reviews a lot of

myths about capitalism. You're likely to hear these myths repeated day in and day out by the news media

as they interpret the events of the next four years. So it's

useful to be on your guard and ready. And this is a useful, helpful book to do so. And it makes a

particular appeal to Christians who are not always fully on board with the market economy. and he explains why they ought to be.

Incidentally, I don't say this as a, you know, as picking on Christians or, you know, to single

them out. Obviously, most people in our society don't fully understand economics.

Even the, even the economists half the time don't really understand what's going on,

so it seems petty to pick on them. So I'm not actually picking on them. I'm saying that I'd like

to talk to them. I'd like to reach them and reason with them. I've had some of the same struggles

that Jay has had, so I know we're going to have a good conversation. Jay is an assistant research professor

in the School of Business and Economics at the Catholic University of America, and he is
