So normally what I do is I cover the biggest stories of the week and the biggest story of the

week as said

binkley pointed out to me was that the government

shutdown happened on the one year anniversary of

Trump's inauguration and as soon as he said that it was obvious that this is on purpose

and I did a quick check and Congress had signed continuing resolutions repeatedly over the

past year a continuing resolution just kicks the can until it happens to fall on this day

and as we heard at the news break Nancy Pelosi said you wanted your shutdown the Trump

shutdown is here and it's really pretty outrageous because

normally I don't get bogged down into the policy stuff and I always think these guys

in DC are just total actors but the budget guy Mulvaney was just very well spoken on a press conference yesterday

when he pointed out I think correctly that the DACA thing the deadline isn't today for DACA it's

irrelevant to the budget thing so the Democrats are actually seems to me doing this on

purpose but I'm not going to talk about that today because I think everybody else is going to talk about it. I did want to just highlight what the big story was but for me what's caught my attention the most this week today and also last week a bit the past couple of weeks
