I'm Helen Hong. And now, socially distancing from our homes in Los Angeles, here's our moderator, Jay Keith Van Stratton.

Thank you, Helen. Great to see you. Thank you again for being here. I feel especially grateful today to have you and have everyone here with us today.

Oh, why especially grateful? I realized that as we record this today, it has been exactly one year since we were able to do our last show before a

live audience. Oh, that's bittersweet, Jay. Yeah, a whole year. And it's weird because I'm very used to

only seeing you in a box on my Zoom screen and I don't want to get used to it. At the same time,

it feels like it's flown by and yet it feels like it's been 50 years.

Yeah, yeah. I think a lot of people are having that kind of experience, I'm just so grateful

that because of you and because of our producer and editor Julian and our producer Jim, that we've

been able to find a way to still pull these shows off and kind of, it's kind of opened it up

because we've been able to talk to people from around the world who we wouldn't normally get to have when we're doing our live in-person shows.

Have you been able to find any kind of making lemonade out of lemons from this whole year of pandemic?

I, like you, am thankful that we are able to still do this.

You know, I am a stand-up comic that's my original job. I feel like that's been a

bigger adjustment doing stand-up comedy without an audience. Feels very strange. This one,

I feel like the adjustment was weird at the very beginning. It felt strange, but now I do feel like

we've gotten into a rhythm. And like you said, it's a double-edged sword because we've been able to have guests from the UK and, you know, all over the country because we're on

Zoom, they don't necessarily have to be with us in our location. So that's been the happy part of it.
